We continue to stock Orientique, as it is a fabulous range.. Founded in 1976 they are Australia's leading cotton label which is sold world wide, synonymous with exclusive artistic prints in beautiful natural fabrics of outstanding quality whilst only working with factories that ensure fair wages and working conditions.
Fabric & Style
This beautifully crafted jacket has been manufactured in 100% certified organic cotton sourced with the Global Organic Textile Standard certification, made from certified organic raw materials with care and attention to detail in India. A lot of thought has been put into this jacket, it is reversible but not double layered, the fabric has been cleverly printed on both sides, then vertical stitching has been placed all over to give it the appearance of being quilted. It has wide generously flared sleeves with a shawl type collar and no closures.
There are pockets on both sides of the jacket, the Orientique label is easily removed as it is only held by a couple of stitches, the fabric label has even been placed inside one of the pockets so it does now show when the jacket is worn on the reverse side. Navy binding has been used to enhance, on the outer side it has been used around the edges and all around the pockets, on the reverse side it has been used to highlight the fabric panels, it really is impeccably made.
Orientique often produce two complementary prints in one variant to provide a pattern clash, Valetta is one of those, a hand drawn exlusive print , this jacket uses both.
Fit & Function
These reversible jackets are so well made with thought put into the features, you are getting two for one, it fits well. The sleeves are generously wide so it can be worn over anything, turn the cuffs up to show the reverse print. For a visual size reference I am wearing the 20, I am 170cm tall and Apple shaped, please note that any other fashion items or jewellery have been photographed for style suggestion only and are not included in the sale of this garment.
