I have brought in a range of lightweight kaftans from my scarf supplier, the brand is Isabella, for a budget pop of colour. They are polyester, which I normally would not stock, but these colours and prints were too good to pass up on, the alternative would have been silk, but the price would have been too high.
For a casual addition to your summer wardrobe, this maxi kaftan is gorgeous and very versatile, the Vneckline is embellished with tiny clear class beads which pick up the light, the overall print is multi coloured with pink, cerise, blues, black, burgundy and tan using animal prints and traditional Indian inspired prints, wow.. The side seams are open apart from an 8cm row of vertical stitching to identify where your arms go through, so it is very much intended to wear as a cover up, or over jeans and a cami like I am wearing in these images and very versatile as it can be knotted or tied, you could even sew up the sides if you wanted to make it into a traditional maxi dress.
Fit & Function
It is gorgeous, very easy fit, the fabric has a chiffon feel, it is very soft and lightweight, and is slightly sheer, for these images I am wearing a white cami and jeans under it. It fits me with room to spare, I am normally an 20/22 it would easily fit up to a size 24 or 26. I am apple shaped and 170cm tall, this dress is full length on me.
