Holmes & Fallon blue floral sleeveless double layer dress size XXL

This beautiful double layer dress is from Holmes & Fallon, this company is a mother/daughter collaboration, established in 2009.  Each garment has been individually designed with a little extra detail for that high-end feel, Holmes & Fallon are proud to be to an Australian owned and operated family business.

Fabric & Style

Manufactured in China using a blend of 70% viscose with 30% polyester the fabric has a woven crepe feel, this stunning sleeveless dress is double layered with a vneckline. The under layer is longer than the top layer by 15cm, they are both draped longer at the side seams, it is fairly straight cut.

The print is floral, a hand painted small leaf print in blues and pale mauve/grey. 

Fit & Function

Holmes & Fallon is not necessarily a plus size brand, I stocked their winter range in size XXL and sold it as free size as the winter knits were generously cut, I presumed all of their size XXL would be the same, unfortunately this dress is not.  I am normally a plus 18 to 20, 170cm tall and apple shaped, I could not get it on, so I would suggest that it is best suited to only a size 16/18.  To say that I am disappointed is an understatement!
