I have brought in a range of lightweight kaftan tops from my scarf supplier, the brand is Isabella, for a budget pop of colour. They are polyester, which I normally would not stock, but these colours and prints were too good to pass up on, the alternative would have been silk, but the price would have been too high.
For a casual addition to your summer wardrobe, this kaftan top is square cut with the back falling 20cm longer, rectangle in shape with an 18cm side seam just under the space left for your arm. This means that it does have high side seam splits, it has a V neckline. Loving the print, in shades of blue and green with a stylized snakeskin print with pops of yellow. A traditional Indian themed decoration is on the front neckine and down the back, it has tiny clear beads on the neckline which catch the light.
Fit & Function
It is gorgeous, very easy fit, the fabric has a chiffon feel, it is very soft and lightweight, and is slightly sheer, for these images I am wearing a white cami under it where I am wearing white jeans. It fits me with room to spare, I am normally an 20/22 it would easily fit up to a size 24. I am apple shaped and 170cm tall, this top falls to partway down my thighs at the front, longer at the back.
