This slate Emilia modal empire waist tunic boasts a very flattering shape. We have purchased a range of colour block separates from Goddess on the Go. This brand is based and manufactured in Bali but run and owned by Janet Molloy an Australian who has lived there long term – I wish! As the founder she has created a dynamic, female focused company that encourages self confidence and self empowerment with style. Her passion is to deliver comfortable, flattering ethically produced clothing for women of all ages, shapes and sizes. This brand fits so well with our aesthetic, it also uses Lensing an innovative textile that enhances wearability and sustainability. Its Modal® fibre is manufactured from the cellulose of beech trees plantation-grown in Europe and is probably the world’s softest and most sustainable fibre. Goddess on the Go Modal® is the softest, most luxuriously comfortable fabric — it feels softer next to the skin than cotton, absorbs 50% more moisture and releases it more quickly, making it more comfortable to wear in any climate.
The tunic has an empire waist cut which normally does not suit my apple shape, but in this case I am very impressed with the flattering shape, the top part of the tunic above the cut is double layered so this tunic is slightly heavier than the others in this range, the drape is roomy and flattering. The fabric is blended with 5% spandex so it does have some give and is perfect for travelling as it will not crease. It is finished with a rounded neckline and sleeves which finish at the elbow and give great coverage. The colour is called slate which is a dark grey with navy tones.
For a visual size reference I am wearing the XXL, and at 170cm tall the tunic falls to mid thigh.
